Multimedia Player

Watching videos in the car (on a standard multimedia car radio) became possible thanks to the multimedia player (CorePlayer) built into the Menaco customware. You can also listen to music with it.

Moreover, CorePlayer has 12-band equalizer, which is a nice addition for lovers of high-quality music.

With the help of CorePlayer you can also listen to Internet radio stations m3u (several radio stations are built into Menaco Customware, you can additionally take it from the website laradiofm.ru, etc.).

The video player is installed in Menaco for all types of multimedia devices except GEN5 devices. There are other audio and video apps for Android in GEN5 Customware.

How To Open The Multimedia Player

Open the video player by clicking the Media Player button in the Menaco menu. In the video player, specify the path to the video or audio files that you previously recorded to the USB Stick. To do this, use the lower horizontal panel of the video player menu. Please note that a flash drive is designated as a disk \MD

File Specifications For Multimedia Player

Helpful Tips

  1. If the source video file does not meet the above parameters, please use converters. We offer a simple and reliable converter X-Media Recode – www.xmedia-recode.de. You can download the program and the configuration file by following the link (copy the link to the browser) http://yadi.sk/d/PdqobgXWCXF7g
  2. For advanced users we offer a multifunctional converter Format Factory (copy link to browser) – http://format-factory.net. Of course, you can use any other converter you like.
  3. We recommend encoding in MP4 or AVI format, video size 800×480 and everything will be fine.
  4. You can also read the post on how to prepare your file for a video player http://forum.dusterclub.ru/showthread.php?t=3025&p=180546&viewfull=1#post180546
  5. For those who love high-quality music, we recommend using the 12-band equalizer built into CorePlayer.
  6. Exit CorePlayer using the exit button before turning off the ignition. Then you can save the playback from the point from which you left. In other words, the next time you turn on the player, you can continue to play your video or audio that you watched or listened to before.
  7. To playback videos one by one, put a “tick” in front of the folder where the necessary files are stored. Then the contents of this folder will be played sequentially.
  8. The video player supports standard channels. The video player does not support YouTube. But sometimes it is possible. Check out the post on how to watch YouTube in a video player http://forum.dusterclub.ru/showthread.php?t=3025&page=638&p=253578&viewfull=1#post253578
  9. Sometimes the sound on the video may suddenly disappear (when viewing a previously checked video file), i.e. the video shows, but there is no sound. In this case:
    • press the RESET PLAYER CONFIG button (for GEN2 devices) in Menaco Settings, or
    • delete the config.xml file from multimedia device memory: in the \USER\Player\CorePlayer\config.xml folder or in the \MMCMemory\Storage Card\CorePlayer\config.xml folder (the path to the file depends on the customware version and the multimedia device type) using the Total Commander file manager.
  10. Sometimes the video player may suddenly stop working (nothing happens when the player button is pressed).
